With a membership of over 200 core mining enterprises, 126 leading industry experts, and a dedicated secretariat team, the association has established itself as a driving force for progress. It operates through five specialized branches: the Aggregate Branch, Expert Committee, Industrial Cluster Promotion Committee, International Trade and Investment Committee, and the Mining Finance Professional Committee. Additionally, it oversees the Hunan Mining Standardization Technical Committee, ensuring that industry advancements align with national and global standards.

Prominent Mining Enterprises in Hunan Province

• Hunan Coal Group – Established in 2006, this company is a major thermal coal producer, formed through the integration of multiple mining bureaus and enterprises.

• Hunan Gold Corporation Limited – A key player in the exploration and processing of nonferrous metals, including gold and antimony, recently making headlines for discovering a substantial gold deposit in central Hunan.

• Hunan Mercury Mining Co., Ltd. – A leading private joint-stock enterprise specializing in mercury metal beneficiation by floatation, smelting, and processing.

Guided by Xi Jinping’s thoughts on ecological civilization, the HNMA is focused on ensuring national resource security and aligning with China’s “three highs and four new” strategy.
